This intervention engage in dialogue with 'Caementum,' shifting the focus from the city to the body as a micro urban territory.
The mouths depicted are not portraits but surfaces: facades where two logics of our time collide, the organic that comes from experience and the artificial that seeks to standardize every mark.
Whitened teeth, arranged smiles, aesthetic repairs are the same mechanisms that operate in the city: continuous restructurings that erase the original to make way for an improved, global, luxurious image. These two paintings speak to what remains beneath the façade: the cracks, the pressure, the fragile material of experience.
At their core, they articulate a simple idea: when time and the system push us to construct a perfect appearance, we lose precisely what makes us authentic.
